Overview
Canoeing, kayaking, or rafting down the Vltava as it wraps around Český Krumlov is a hugely popular summer activity. Seeing the castle and town from the river offers a completely different, beautiful perspective. It's safe for beginners, with routes ranging from short loops around the town (1-2 hours) to full-day trips to Vyšší Brod. A 2-person canoe rental is about CZK 700-1,000 for half a day. Multiple rental outfits operate in the town center.
