Overview
Designed by architect Henning Larsen and opened in 2005, this is home to the Royal Danish Opera and was famously funded entirely by a donation from the Mærsk McKinney Møller Foundation. Its glass facade seems to float on the water, and the harbor-facing building is especially beautiful at night. Visitors can see the interior via a performance ticket or a pre-booked guided tour; the exterior and waterfront walk are free. Guided tours about DKK 100 (details may change). Free harbor bus (992/993) from Nyhavn, or a 15-minute walk.
