Overview
Safdarjung's Tomb is a Mughal-style garden mausoleum built in 1754 to honor Safdarjung, governor of Awadh, modeled after Humayun's Tomb but on a smaller scale. Its charbagh (quadrilateral garden) layout blends red sandstone and white marble, and it is often regarded as the last flourish of Mughal architecture. Fewer crowds make it a pleasant place to stroll. Foreign visitor entry about INR 300.
