Overview
Nyali Beach stretches along the Indian Ocean on the mainland just north of Mombasa Island, closer and easier to reach than Diani for short getaways. Soft white sand and warm sea run for about 5km, backed by mid-range to luxury resorts like Sarova Whitesands and Voyager Beach. Nearby coral reefs make for great snorkeling, dhow trips, and sunrise camel rides on the sand. Free beach access (resort day passes KES 1,500-3,000). About 15 minutes by car from Mombasa Island.
