Overview
The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a globally recognized conservation organization that rescues baby elephants orphaned by poaching or natural disasters and prepares them for release into the wild. The orphanage opens to the public for one hour daily at 11 a.m., when visitors can watch the calves play in mud and drink milk from bottles. Through donations you can foster a specific elephant and receive updates on its growth - a moving lesson in conservation.
