Poland's former capital and one of Europe's most beautiful cities, with remarkably preserved medieval architecture. The hourly trumpet call from Rynek Główny, the culture of the Kazimierz Jewish quarter, and the wonder of the Wieliczka Salt Mine leave deep impressions. One of Europe's best-value destinations, Kraków also invites reflection on light and dark chapters of human history, with Auschwitz nearby.
Best Season
May to September is the best time to visit. The Jewish Culture Festival in June and the Christmas market in December are highlights.
