Overview
Created in the early 19th century where the medieval city walls once stood, Planty Park forms a 4km ring around Kraków's Old Town. Made up of about 30 small gardens, it features mature trees, flower beds, benches, fountains, and sculptures — a beloved strolling route for locals and visitors alike. Cherry blossoms and magnolias shine in spring, autumn colours in fall, and the Barbican and Florian Gate, the sole remaining sections of the old walls, can both be reached along the route. Free entry; open 24 hours.
