Opened in 1906, Livraria Lello is one of the world's most beautiful bookshops, according to Lonely Planet. A neo-Gothic façade frames an Art Nouveau interior, and the red spiral staircase is globally famous. J.K. Rowling is said to have drawn inspiration from this shop while living in Porto, and the moving staircases of Hogwarts are widely believed to echo its iconic stair.
