Overview
Patong is Phuket's most famous and lively beach, boasting roughly 3km of white sand. Jet skis, parasailing, banana boats, and other water sports are all on offer, while Bangla Road just behind the beach transforms each evening into a nightlife strip packed with bars, clubs, and restaurants. The surf is best during the May-October rainy season. Free admission (beach). About 40 minutes by taxi from Phuket Airport.
Travel Tips
Always negotiate prices for water sports. A nighttime stroll down Bangla Road is also a must.
