Overview
The Phi Phi Islands are a six-island archipelago about 1 hour 30 minutes by boat from Phuket. They are best known for Maya Bay, the filming location of Leonardo DiCaprio's 'The Beach' (2000), where towering limestone cliffs meet emerald-green water. Snorkeling, diving, and kayaking abound, and Phi Phi Don even offers overnight stays. Phi Phi tour about THB 1,500-3,000 (including lunch). Departs from Rassada Pier.
Travel Tips
Staying overnight rather than doing a day tour lets you enjoy Maya Bay during quieter hours. Take motion sickness medicine in advance.
