Overview
Serengeti National Park is a 14,763 sq km UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Tanzania, its name derived from the Maasai word for 'endless plains'. Each year more than two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle move clockwise across the ecosystem with the seasons - the greatest wildlife spectacle on Earth. The park is home to the Big Five and around 70 large mammal species along with 500 bird species, and every direction reveals cinematic African savanna landscapes.
