Overview
Spread along the west coast, this national park preserves the July 1944 battlefields of Guam's liberation. The centerpiece Asan Bay Overlook surveys the landing beaches and reef from the ridge, its memorial wall carved with over 16,000 names of servicemen and Chamorro civilians. Down at the Asan Beach unit, guns and monuments mark the shoreline, and the visitor center tells the occupation story through islanders' eyes. It sits right at the start of the southern coastal drive.
