Overview
Mangrove National Park is a nature reserve about 15 minutes by car from downtown Abu Dhabi, protecting around 75% of the emirate's mangrove forests. Kayak or paddleboard through the mangrove channels to observe the marine ecosystem up close, or walk the boardwalk trail to spot flamingos, herons, and other birds. It's a unique way to experience nature in the heart of the city. Boardwalk free; kayak tours about AED 150-200. About 15 minutes by taxi from downtown.

Kayak tours are best in early morning or at sunset. Bring binoculars for birdwatching to enhance the experience.
