Overview
Wahat Al Karama, or 'Oasis of Dignity,' is a war memorial unveiled in 2016 on UAE Commemoration Day, honoring soldiers and officials who died in the line of duty. It sits directly across from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, and its memorial plaza is accessible 24 hours a day, while the visitor centre operates daily from 09:00-19:00, with free guided tours in English and Arabic at 10:00 and 17:00. A free shuttle bus runs between the memorial and the Grand Mosque, and a pedestrian bridge also connects the two sites. Admission is completely free.
