Overview
The Bogarín Trail is a 2km loop walkable from downtown La Fortuna, restored from former cattle pasture since 2000 by a local Costa Rican conservationist. Today more than 25 wild sloths live along the trail, and guides use scopes to help spot both sloths and birds. Self-guided, guided, and night-walk options are available, and the trail is wheelchair accessible. Details can change, so confirm before visiting.
