Overview
Río Celeste, inside Tenorio Volcano National Park, is a natural wonder where volcanic minerals turn the water an astonishing celestial blue. Where two clear tributaries meet, a chemical reaction suddenly tints the water vivid sky blue — the spot is called 'Los Teñidores' (the Dyers). The highlight is the 30m Río Celeste Waterfall, where the blue water cascades in a fantastical display. A round-trip rainforest trail of about 2 hours is required.
Opening Hours

Travel Tips
Heavy rain can make the water murky — pick a clear day. Waterproof hiking boots are essential as the trail can be muddy. Swimming is not allowed.
