Egypt's capital and Africa's largest city, a Nile-side metropolis where ancient pyramids meet a buzzing modern skyline. The 4,500-year-old Giza pyramids and Sphinx inspire awe, and Khan el-Khalili bazaar captures the magic of traditional Middle Eastern shopping. Islamic Cairo's mosques and the Coptic district's churches coexist, and a dinner cruise on the Nile is a memorable experience.
