The city of ancient Thebes, packed with Egypt's finest ruins including the Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. Split between the East Bank (Karnak and Luxor temples) and the West Bank (Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut's Temple), the city showcases ancient Egypt's glory. Felucca sailing on the Nile and hot air balloon rides offer unique perspectives. Often called 'the world's greatest open-air museum.'
