Overview
Founded in 1780 by John Jameson, this was the original Jameson whiskey distillery - actual distilling moved to Cork in 1971, but the building remains as a visitor experience. Guided tours explain the triple-distillation process and maturation, including a comparative tasting against Scotch and American whiskeys. Tours end with a cocktail and a bartender-style certificate. Admission about EUR 27. 10-minute walk from O'Connell Street.
