Overview
On the south bank of the Liffey, Temple Bar is Dublin's cultural and entertainment heart - cobbled lanes lined with traditional pubs, live-music bars, galleries and vintage shops. Irish trad sessions fill the pubs every night, while weekends bring street performers and food markets. The namesake Temple Bar pub opened in 1840 and its red facade is a Dublin icon. The later it gets, the livelier it grows.
