Overview
Hwangnidan-gil runs along the hanok alleys of Hwangnam-dong west of Daereungwon, densely packed with atmospheric cafes, dessert shops, boutiques, and hanbok rentals set in renovated tiled houses, making it hugely popular with younger travelers. By day, visitors don hanbok for photos against the tombs and alleys; by evening, it flows naturally into the night views of Cheomseongdae and Donggung Palace. The street itself is free and always open, with shop hours (generally 11:00-21:00) varying. It sits right beside Daereungwon and Cheomseongdae for excellent access.
Travel Tips
Weekend afternoons are very crowded. There are many hanbok rentals, so combine one with a stroll through Daereungwon.
