Overview
Yangdong Folk Village is a Joseon-era clan village with over 500 years of history, where some 150 tiled and thatched houses are preserved along the hillsides, earning UNESCO World Heritage status. It is a living village with resident families, and strolling among old homes, a Confucian academy, and pavilions offers a glimpse into the life of Joseon literati. Adult admission is around KRW 4,000, with hours generally 09:00-18:00 (shorter in winter). It sits some distance north of central Gyeongju, so a car is recommended.
