Overview
Seokguram is a man-made granite grotto sanctuary carved into Tohamsan, world-renowned for the perfect proportions and refinement of its principal Buddha statue, inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with Bulguksa. The serene smile of the Buddha viewed through the glass wall leaves a deep impression. Admission is free following the abolition of heritage fees, with hours typically 09:00-17:30 (seasonal variation). It is about 15 minutes from Bulguksa by bus 12 or car.
