Overview
Hamdeok Beach (Hamdeok Seoubong Beach) on Jeju's east coast is considered the island's most popular swimming beach, thanks to its shallow, calm emerald waters. Climbing Seoubong hill at one end of the beach rewards you with a sweeping view of the whole beach and its turquoise waters. Cafes and guesthouses line the shore, making it popular both as a day trip from Jeju City and as a multi-day beach base. Free admission. About 20 minutes by car from Jeju City.
Travel Tips
The round trip up Seoubong takes about 1 hour. Arrive early during peak summer for a good spot.
