Overview
Jungle Beach is a small secret beach tucked beneath the Rumassala hill near Unawatuna. A 10-minute jungle trail rewards the effort with quieter sand, clear turquoise water, and the kind of postcard scene Unawatuna no longer offers. A coral reef nearby is great for snorkeling, and a tiny beach bar in the trees serves fresh drinks. Free admission. About 15-20 minutes on foot from Unawatuna via the jungle trail.
Opening Hours
Daily 08:00-18:00
Travel Tips
The trail is steep and slippery — wear sneakers. A boat shuttle (about LKR 500) is an alternative.
