Overview
Built in 1711 as a funduq - a caravanserai combining inn, warehouse, and trading post - this three-story building around a central courtyard has housed the Nejjarine Museum of Wooden Arts and Crafts since 1998. Displays cover traditional carpentry, Quranic school furniture, musical instruments, and antique doors, showcasing the artistry of Fez's woodworking guild. The rooftop terrace cafe offers one of the best panoramic views over the medina's rooftops. Right outside stands the beautifully tiled Nejjarine Fountain, one of Fez's finest examples of public fountain architecture. Admission MAD 20. In the Nejjarine Square, near Al-Attarine Madrasa.
