Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) runs parallel to the beach for about 4km and is the Riviera Maya's liveliest pedestrian street. Traditional Mexican craft shops, international restaurants, rooftop bars, and boutiques line both sides, with street performers adding constant energy. Shop and cafe-hop by day, then enjoy live music and nightclubs after dark. Just one block from the beach, it's easy to go from swimming to shopping. Free to visit (outdoor street). About 1 hour from Cancun by ADO bus; 5 minutes on foot from the Playa del Carmen bus terminal.
