Overview
The Botero Museum opened in 2000 after Colombian artist Fernando Botero donated 123 of his own works and 85 pieces from his private collection. His signature plump, rounded figures are the centerpiece, but the museum also houses works by Picasso, Monet, Renoir, and Dalí. The handsome colonial building is a sight in itself, and admission is free — a rare treat. Located in the heart of La Candelaria with easy access.
Opening Hours
Wednesday-Monday 09:00-19:00, closed Tuesdays.
Travel Tips
Admission is free, so there's no reason to skip it. The adjacent Numismatic Museum is also free. Weekend mornings are relatively quiet.
