Overview
Plaza Botero is an open-air gallery showcasing 23 monumental bronze sculptures donated by Medellín-born artist Fernando Botero. The artist's signature plump, rounded figures depict people, animals, and fruit, and visitors are free to touch them and take photos. The adjacent Antioquia Museum holds more of Botero's paintings and sculptures. The square doubles as a popular gathering spot and a symbol of the city's cultural pride.
Opening Hours
Plaza open 24 hours; museum Tuesday-Sunday 10:00-17:30.
