Opened in 2000, Parque de los Pies Descalzos (Barefoot Park) invites visitors to remove their shoes and walk mindfully across sand, shallow water channels, gravel paths, and bamboo groves - a sensory experience built into a small downtown park. It sits next to the EPM utility company headquarters and an interactive library, making it easy to combine with a broader stroll through the area. Admission is free, and evenings sometimes bring illuminated fountain displays. It's a five-minute walk from San Antonio metro station.
