Overview
Completed in 1931 in the Romanesque style, Medellín's Metropolitan Cathedral was built using an estimated 1.1 million bricks, making it one of the largest brick structures on Earth. Alongside adjacent Parque Bolívar, it forms one of the defining landmarks of Medellín's historic center, with stained glass and a pipe organ among its interior highlights. Admission is free, and visitors can look around quietly outside of Mass times. It's within walking distance of Parque Berrío metro station.
Opening Hours
Daily 08:00-18:00, with restricted access during Mass (hours may vary).
