Pueblito Paisa (Cerro Nutibara)

Cerro Nutibara, Medellín

Overview

Built in the 1970s atop Cerro Nutibara (about 80m high) south of downtown Medellín, Pueblito Paisa is a scaled-down replica of a typical Antioquian mountain village. A small whitewashed church, town hall, and shops with flower-decked balconies ring a central plaza, capturing the feel of a Colombian highland town, while the summit offers sweeping views over Medellín and its valley. Admission is free, and the hill also doubles as a sculpture park showcasing works by local artists. It's about a 15-minute taxi ride from downtown, or a short uphill walk from the nearest metro stop.
