Overview
Opened in 2004, Medellín's MetroCable was the world's first cable car built as public transit, connecting steep hillside neighborhoods to downtown. Once-isolated poor communities gained a daily lifeline and a symbol of urban renewal and social inclusion. The K and J lines are most popular with visitors, offering sweeping 360-degree views of the Medellín valley. Pair it with the Santo Domingo Savio Library Park to see the city's innovation firsthand.
Opening Hours
Monday-Saturday 04:30-23:00; Sundays and holidays 05:00-22:00.
