Parque Explora
Opened in 2007, Parque Explora is Medellín's flagship interactive science museum, its bright red facade standing between the botanical garden and a university campus. Highlights include a large aquarium recreating Amazonian and Caribbean ecosystems, a reptile and amphibian exhibit, a planetarium-style dome, and hands-on rooms exploring physics and math - making it a great outing for families. Admission differs for Colombian nationals and foreign visitors, running roughly COP 35,000-48,000 for adults depending on which exhibits are included; check the official website before visiting. It's a five-minute walk from Universidad metro station.
HoursTuesday-Friday 08:30-17:30, weekends/holidays 10:00-18:00, closed Mondays.
