Overview
Completed in 1975 and designed by Alvar Aalto, Lappia Hall is a performing arts and convention centre that serves as home to the Rovaniemi Theatre and the Lapland Chamber Orchestra. Located near the Arctic Circle, it's sometimes called the 'cultural palace of the Arctic,' its white facade and organic Aalto forms completing the skyline of Aalto Square alongside the Town Hall and Library. Hosting opera, theatre, concerts, and conferences year-round, it forms one of the city's two major performance venues alongside the Korundi cultural centre.
