Overview
Built between the 12th and 15th centuries, Lyon Cathedral began in the Romanesque style and was completed in Gothic form. Inside stands an astronomical clock from 1379, whose automatons perform at noon, 2pm, 3pm, and 4pm. Damaged during the French Revolution but since restored, it remains the seat of the Archbishop of Lyon. Admission is free. Located in the Vieux Lyon district, near the Fourvière funicular station.
