Overview
At 62,000㎡, Bellecour is one of Europe's largest pedestrian squares and the center point of Lyon — kilometer zero for distance measurements. The equestrian statue of Louis XIV stands proudly at its center, and to one side you'll find the statue of Lyon-born writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry alongside his Little Prince — a pilgrimage spot for fans. During December's Fête des Lumières the square becomes a giant light-show stage, and the Christmas season brings a Ferris wheel and market. Free to visit. Right at Bellecour metro station (Lines A/D).
