Overview
Completed in 1957 by Tachu Naito, designer of Tokyo Tower, this 147.2m broadcast tower's 90m deck delivers the definitive Sapporo view: Odori Park running arrow-straight west through the planned grid. During the Snow Festival it's the best seat above the sculptures, and winter illuminations or clear-day views to the Ishikari plain change the picture by season. Souvenir and Hokkaido food shops fill the lower floors.
