Overview
Completed in 1934, Yeongdo Bridge was Korea's first bascule bridge, connecting Busan's Jung District with Yeongdo Island. Famous as a meeting point for refugees during the Korean War, it became a symbolic site for separated families, with 'let's meet at Yeongdo Bridge' becoming a common phrase. Today, one side of the bridge lifts open in a popular daily noon performance for visitors. Free to view. A 5-minute walk from Nampo Station (Line 1).
