Overview
Al Noor Mosque is an Ottoman-style building inspired by Istanbul's Sultan Ahmed (Blue) Mosque, completed in 2005 on the shore of Khalid Lagoon along Buhaira Corniche. Admission is completely free, and the Sharjah Centre for Cultural Communication runs a free roughly 45-minute guided tour for non-Muslims every Monday at 10:00, covering Islamic and Emirati culture along with the mosque's architecture, plus complimentary Arabic coffee. Advance registration is required, and modest dress covering shoulders and knees is recommended.
