Overview
Mleiha Archaeological Centre is located about 65 km southeast of Sharjah city, in the desert village of Mleiha near Fossil Rock. It presents ancient cultures spanning the Stone Age through the Bronze and Iron Ages to the pre-Islamic Mleiha period, including a 125,000-year-old stone tool, one of the earliest Homo sapiens tools found outside Africa. Admission is AED 15 for ages 3-12 and AED 25 for 13 and above, with a family ticket (2 adults, 3 children) at AED 55. Van shuttle transfers are available from Dubai and Sharjah.
