Overview
Opened in 1978 inside the former La Sabana airport terminal, the Costa Rican Art Museum blends Spanish colonial and modern architectural styles and was recognized for its historic and architectural value in 1986. It houses a permanent collection of modern and contemporary Costa Rican painting and sculpture, with additional outdoor sculptures in its gardens. Admission is completely free; visitors simply register via a QR code at entry.
