Remodeled in 1762 by Viscount Fairfax for his daughter, this Georgian townhouse is regarded as Britain's most perfectly restored 18th-century town residence. Ornate rococo plasterwork, period furniture, and the Noel Terry collection of antique clocks vividly capture upper-class life of the era. During the Christmas season it's decorated in Georgian style for a festive atmosphere. Adult admission about GBP 8. Located in the heart of the city centre.
