Overview
Ratu Boko is an 8th-9th century palace ruin perched about 200m above sea level, roughly 3km south of Prambanan Temple. The site blends Hindu and Buddhist elements, with remains of a grand stone gateway, cremation sites, pools, and caves. Sunset views from the hilltop — with the Prambanan plain and Mount Merapi as backdrop — are among the finest in Yogyakarta. Admission about IDR 350,000 (foreigners); combo ticket with Prambanan available. About 10 minutes by taxi from Prambanan Temple.
