Overview

Timang Beach, on the south coast of Gunungkidul Regency, is famous for its thrilling hand-pulled wooden gondola that carries visitors across to a small rock islet just offshore. Originally used by lobster fishermen to cross safely, it has become a popular tourist activity. A suspension bridge is also available as an alternative to the gondola.
