Overview
Built in 1446, this medieval castle is famous for the Blarney Stone at its summit, said to grant the 'gift of the gab' to anyone who kisses it. More than 400,000 visitors each year lean backwards over the parapet to plant a kiss on the stone. The 60-acre grounds also include themed gardens such as the Poison Garden, the Fern Garden and Rock Close.
