Overview
Southern Okinawa's flagship theme park, anchored by Gyokusendo — a cave 300,000 years in the making, with 890m of its 5km open to walk beneath a million-plus stalactites, refreshingly cool in midsummer. Above ground, a castle-town of relocated heritage farmhouses hosts sanshin, weaving and Ryukyu-glass workshops, while the rousing eisa drum-dance plays several times daily. A habu snake park and brown-sugar factory round out an easy half day in the south.
