Overview
Seven registered-heritage farmhouses, one to two centuries old, were moved here from across Okinawa to recreate a Ryukyu village of red-tile roofs and coral-stone walls. Sanshin music, loom weaving and a water-buffalo mill evoke old island life, while the michijune parade of eisa and dance livens the square several times daily. Over 30 hands-on programs — shisa painting, Ryukyu dress, sata andagi frying — make it a family favorite, right at the gateway to Onna near the Blue Cave and Manzamo.
