Construction of the 239-room Cambodiana Hotel began in the 1960s but was halted during the Khmer Rouge era, finally completing in the 1990s. It showcases New Khmer Architecture, blending traditional Khmer roof profiles with modern structure. Set on the banks of the Tonle Sap, it offers beautiful river and riverside views, and even a stroll through the lobby and gardens reveals the charm of Cambodian modern architecture. The riverside restaurant is lovely for a sunset dinner. Free to view (exterior). About a 15-minute walk from the Royal Palace.
