Overview
Located along Sisowath Quay, Wat Ounalom is one of Cambodian Buddhism's most important temples, founded in the 15th century and once the seat of the Mahanikaya order. Badly damaged during the Khmer Rouge era, it has since been restored and is said to enshrine an eyebrow relic of the Buddha. Close to the Royal Palace, it's a peaceful stop on a riverside stroll. Free admission (donations welcome). A 5-minute walk from the Royal Palace.
